1. Search Start
The Start option on the Search menu brings up the Search Criteria dialog box. The Start option can also be activated with the F2 key or by clicking on the Search button.

2. Search Stop
The Stop option on the Search menu stops an active search. The Stop button or pressing the Shift+F2 key will also abort a search before it is completed.

3. Edit Text
This Search menu option enables/disables the editing of standard text. CAUTION: Do not save changes to nontext files like "exe" or "doc" files.

4. Instant Popup Menus
This Search menu option enables/disables the Instant Popup Menus that appear after selecting text with the mouse. It also enables/disables the popup file name tags that appear in the list of found files.

5. Sound On
When Sound On is checked in the Search menu, Searchopia will say "Search Completed" when it is finished searching.

6. Minimize On
When Minimize On is checked in the Search menu, Searchopia will be minimized as an icon until a search is completed. Searches are faster with Minimize On.

7. Highlight All
When Highlight All is checked in the Search menu, Searchopia will highlight all the found terms using the color and font attributes that you specify with Change Highlight.

8. Highlight On Launch
When Highlight On Launch is checked in the Search menu, Searchopia will highlight all the found terms in the launched application using the color and font attributes that you specify with Change Highlight. This option only works with the Word application.

9. Find On Launch
There are seven applications that will automatically try to find the first term in the search criteria when launched from Searchopia. They are Internet Explorer, MS Word, Wordpad, NotePad, MS Works, Write, and Cardfile. This option has no effect when launching other applications.

To activate this option, select the Find On Launch option from the Search menu. A checkmark will appear next to the item on the menu. Note: This function may not always work on slower computers, especially when an application is launched for the first time.

The Launch option on the File menu will launch an application.

10. Launch Short File Name
The Launch Short File Name option on the Search menu is for running applications that don't support long file names. If an associated application does not open the data file when Launched, try turning this option on.

May the sun always shine brightly on all that you seek.
