Searchopia IE™ - List Options
1. Previous
The List menu's Previous option will move back one search level to a previous list of matched files. The search criteria is also restored to its previous state. The Prev List button can also be used to perform this function.
2. Next
The List menu's Next option will move forward one search level to a previous list of matched files. The search criteria is also restored to its previous state. The Next List button can also be used to perform this function.
3. Open
The List menu's Open option opens a previously saved list of found files along with their search criteria. Searchopia data files have the extension "PIA".
4. Save As
The List menu's Save As option saves the current list of found file names to disk along with the current search criteria. The file will have the extension "PIA". The most recently selected file name in the list will be viewed automatically when the data file is reopened.
5. Open Start
The List menu's Open Start option reopens the startup list of file names. The Start List button can also be used to perform this function.
6. Save As Start
The List menu's Save As Start option saves the current list of found files names to disk without the current search criteria. The saved startup list will automatically be opened whenever Searchopia is run.
7. Delete Start
The List menu's Delete Start option deletes the startup list of file names from your disk. Only the list is deleted, not the files on the list. The next time you run Searchopia, the list of file names will be empty.
8. Open Recent
The List menu keeps track of the last four Searchopia data files with the extension "PIA" that were opened or saved. Clicking on one of the recent file names in the List menu will open that file's list of files and the stored search criteria.
9. Exit
The List menu's Exit option will shut down the Searchopia application.
10. How To Use Multitasking
Let's say you want to keep reading the files you've already found, but you have an idea for a new search. You can use Windows to run Searchopia a second time. With two Searchopias running, you can continue reading on one, while starting an entirely new search on the other. You can even drag-n-drop selected files from one to the other. Pressing the Ctrl key while dropping files into Searchopia's list of found files will add those files to the list. Power users can even run more than just two instances of Searchopia.
Note: When dragging files into Searchopia, be sure to drop the files onto the list of file names, not the viewing area.
