Searchopia IE™ - Folders & Files

Searchopia can search multiple Folders on any disk, including subFolders. Searchopia lets you create a list of favorite Folders. Simply check the box next to the Folder's name to search it. The plus sign (+) at the end of a Folder's name indicates that its subFolders will also be searched.
The Add button will add a Folder to your list of favorites. You can also drag-n-drop folders into the list of folders. Pressing the Ctrl key while dropping will search subfolders.
The Change button lets you change the selected Folder or the subFolder search option.
The Remove button will remove a Folder from your list of favorites.
The Verify button will check all the Folders listed to see if they still exist and will give you the option to remove the ones that don't. Folders on removable media, like CDs, will not exist when the disk is not in the drive. You do not have to remove any of the Folders listed, unless you want to.
The Sort button will sort the Folders alphabetically.
The Check All button will put a checkmark next to all the Folders listed.
The Uncheck All button will clear the checkboxes next to all the Folders listed.

You can search up to 21 user-definable file types. A file type can be added or changed by editing its extension (txt is the extension for a Text Document). A description of the file type's extension is automatically displayed next to the checkbox when the highlight is moved to another item. Only the file types with a checkmark will be searched. If you wish to search all file types, simply click the All Files box and then Uncheck All the file types so that none are excluded.
3. File Attributes
Normal files are those that have the Archive, Read Only or no attributes set. Normal is the default setting. Most users will not need to search Hidden or System files. The file attribute settings are not saved when exiting Searchopia.
4. How To Search an Entire Disk
First, click the Folders tab in the Search Criteria dialog box. Then, Add the root directory of the drive you wish to search. For example, "C:\+". Be sure to check the Search SubFolders box so that a plus sign (+) appears at the end of the drive's name.
Now, check off all the types of files that you wish to search. If you don't see the one you want, then type in its extension. Next, click the Criteria tab to setup the rest of your search criteria. Finally, click the Begin Search button to search your entire disk.
