How To Find All of Today's Files

1. All Dates
The All Dates option does not limit the search of files by date.

2. Between Dates
The Between Dates option limits a search by setting a date range. Files that have a date outside the set range are not included in the search.

3. Specific Year
The Specific Year option limits a search to files from a given year.

4. Specific Month
The Specific Month option limits a search to files from a given month in a given year.

5. Specific Day

The Specific Day option limits a search to files from a single day.

5. Previous Days

The Previous Days option limits a search to recent files that are a set number of days prior to today's date.

6. Reset
The Reset button sets the selected date option to today's date.

7. How To Find All of Today's Files
It is very useful to search for files without looking for any words or phrases. Let's say you want to look for all the files you worked on today. First, make sure there are no Terms entered to find in the Search Criteria dialog box. Second, use the Previous Days option on the Dates tab and set it to zero for today. Now, go to the Files tab and check the All Files option. Be sure to Uncheck All the file types, so that none will be excluded from the search. Finally, click the Begin Search button to start the search.
