Searchopia IE™ - Browser Options
1. Stop
The Browser menu's Stop option halts the loading of the current HTML document before it is done.
2. Refresh
The Browser menu's Refresh option or the F5 key reloads the current
HTML document.
3. Back
The Browser menu's Back option opens the previous web page visited. This is slightly different from the Back "<" button which works on all document types.
4. Forward
The Browser menu's Forward option opens the next web page after previously going back a page. This is slightly different from the Forward ">" button which works on all document types.
5. Home Page
The Browser menu's Home Page option opens the browser's default Home Page. The Home Page is set via the Properties option in Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
6. Search Page
The Browser menu's Search Page option opens the browser's default Search Page.
7. Print Page
The Browser menu's Print Page option brings up the browser's Print dialog box. This can also be done by right clicking on the document.
8. View Code
The Browser menu's View Code option turns on/off the viewing of documents as text source code. The F9 key can also be used to toggle this option on/off.
9. Work Offline
The Browser menu's Work Offline option sets the browser to work offline and not access any links to the internet. Clicking this option a second time will tell the browser to switch back to working online. Some web pages with Active Scripts won't display unless you are working online or you disable Active Scripting in IE's Internet Security Options.
10. Changing the File Types Displayed by the Browser.
The Window's Registry has a key called "browser_ext" where Searchopia stores a list of the file types that will be viewed by its browser.
Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Searchopia4.0\Startup\browser_ext
Default File Types: htm, html, jpe, xml, asp, cgi, pl, php, php3, jsp, gsp, shtml, phtml, cfm, epl, odt, swf, ico, mvp
This key is read once by Searchopia when it starts. You can add or delete file extensions as you see fit by running Regedit.exe.
